I work for MQ and find that I always have plenty of work 99% of the time in my primary account. In fact, I would rather run out of work now and then than have the work be backed up 2 or 3 days and risk loosing accounts because they are constantly out of TAT. Most likely work shortages are due to poor management practices of individual offices, probably overstaffing.Occasional work sortages were a problem before all this outsourcing nonsense started. I think it is sad when the first thing anyone thinks when work is low is jump to the conclusion that their work is being sent to sweatshops in India and Pakistan for a nickle a day. Could it be that: 1. MQ has an excellent speedy platform in DQS? 2. MQ has extremely good accounts with good sound quality? 3. Most important, MQ has the best MTs who get the work out on time. (Maybe too good for their own benefit)? When I do run out of work, which is rare, here is what I do: 1. Go to MT Stars jobs board and fly out some resumes wait for the responses, take their tests and get hired by another company, because that is always what happens to me. 2. Think about taking the CMT exam, because it looks good on the resumes. 3. Be glad you have a little down time to do something you might actually enjoy and pick up the typing later.
