say you can earn your degree by taking only one course and sending in a substantial check (they claim to give you credit for "life experience"). However, I would be very careful as I suspect that these places are not accredited. I remember seeing some literature from one, I think named Columbia College, a few years ago. As I recall, at that time, it was $5000 for a "Ph.D" degree. There are credited online programs today; however, they generally take the same amount of time (if not longer) to complete a degree as a traditional program.
