As long as you always read any forms you sign and keep copies, you should be in great shape. Nothing in any of my documentation says I can't put whatever I want on this computer. Some companies like TRS say explicitly in their paperwork that you not only can't run your own programs, you can't even install Instant Text or another expander without their express permission or let anyone else even use the computer to view their email, etc.

That may work for employee relationships, but statutory employees can't be told what tools to use, how to work, what hours to work, etc. MQ can lease or rent computers to SEs, but they can't tell them what they can install on them, other than requiring that SEs take all precautions to safeguard the PHI (protected health information, in DocQscribe it only appears on your system in the ADT window while you're transcribing -- the copies of the reports that are stored on your system for a few days are stripped of PHI, which HIPAA requires <-- you do know where to find those reports, right? If not, email me and I'll tell you as you need that information in order to be able to save copies of report or run your own line counts if you forget to make a copy of the report before uploading it Anyone reading this post who needs to know where their reports are stored, please write and I'll provide you with a copy of some instructions I've written up for finding your reports and other interesting DocQscribe info).

As long as you partition your hard drive or set up separate user accounts, there is no chance of the data getting mixed up between the various companies you subcontract work from.

"Me" is right -- MQ has enough on its plate right now that it doesn't have time to worry about picky little issues. If anyone needs information about the lawsuit (such as where to find a copy of the complaint, who to get in touch with if they have documents that support or disprove the claims made in the lawsuit, etc.), feel free to email me.
