Question on MQ computer

I have to go anonymous on this one, and I think you'll all understand!! My question is: I currently work for MQ, and am only staying mostly to protect my back - I have 5 kids to support by myself with this job. At any rate, I have been offered a local job as an IC with a seemingly nice company. However, I need my own computer. This local company uses a web-based dictation thing - I just know its called Vienata. I don't want to buy a new computer of my own until I know if I like this company, and I don't want to quit MQ til I know the same! Money is tight, to say the least. What I'm getting at is - do you think I could run another web-based dictation system on the MQ computer? Do they have safeguards or anything put in that would stop me from doing this for a week or so? Obviously, I wouldn't try to have both programs open at us. I'm on DocQScribe or whatever never, and thought maybe I could just keep that closed and go to this Vienata site or system for a few days to see if I liked it. But maybe I have to load software? Oh boy! I'm very computer stupid. Anybody have any ideas? Don't know what else to do! I feel desperate, like I have my back against the wall, and the walls are closing in on me. Thanks for any help!
