I worked for one company a few years ago where a lot of people pulled crap like that and as a result, the owner then assumed all of us were liars and REAL illnesses/emergencies were questioned and scrutinized. Because of a few people, we were all cast in a bad light and caught a bunch of sh*t when true issues came up. I expect honesty and respect from my employer and I give the same in return. It's simply how I operate but realize everyone is different.
