I use the Express Scribe software and love it. It seems to be very stable. I have the Bytescribe foot pedal and older software but prefer to use Express Scribe with my pedal. I needed a program to play dss files as well as Wav and, as I said, I had an older software version of the Bytescribe, so I just downloaded Express Scribe to use as it plays both! :) I am very pleased with it.
