Question about equipment for home worker

I've been working for a doctor for 1 year now and he has a very small tendency to lose tapes. (But as I found out any lost tape is a big deal.) Is there any equipment for a home worker to use where the dictation comes right into my house through the phone line? I know bigger transcription companies do that, but I haven't seen anything for the small, one-person home worker. Any ideas or suggestions? I'd appreciate and I know he would too.
