Word v. WordPerfect spellchecker

I just replaced my old version of Stedmans with the new to my Word computer at home last night. I use WordPerfect at my day job. I noticed a different in spellcheck between the two. In WP, I can search for a work in the actual spellcheck if I only know, say, the suffix or prefix of a word, followed by an *. e.g., cardio*. It then lists EVERY word beginning with cardio. This is all done in the spellchecker. I cannot do this in Microsoft Word. It only lists a few suggestions to a misspelled word. This is SUCH an important feature... can anybody help?? THANKS!
