I have an old p.c. with Windows 95 and WP5.1. I used a KVM; it is awesome. One monitor, one keyboard, one mouse; heaven!

There has been one occasion in 6 months where my machine just locked up and I had to reboot them. Compared to time saved, nothing.

The "switch" key is pressing the scroll lock button on the x 2 to switch from one to the other.

Installation is simple; plug cables from switch into the back of each computer and the keyboard and mouse into the switch. Everything is color coded. Make the investment! (30 bucks)
