SnowBunny is right - the little plastic box is called a "switch." If you know an electrician or someone who troubleshoots electrical gadgets, they can lay their hands on these pretty easily - they don't have to be Lanier, in fact if Lanier even sells 'em you'll probably get hosed. You might only need one switch - it's possible the current goes through one to the other, and the first one might be shorted out. Good luck - I have a hubby who's an electronic whiz - he's saved me a ton of money, wish I could clone him!
