When you dial into the Lanier system the phone call goes through the hospital/clinic phone lines and then into the digital Lanier system. If the connection isn't 100% "clean" so to speak over the phone line connections you'll get this message. The only remedy is to hang up and try again. Eventually you'll get a good connection again. I know, because I've been there, done that a lot, and Lanier has repeatedly said this is what you have to do to get that good connection re-established.
