Op MT's sometimes are not paid anymore than any other specialist MT. It all depends on the company and MTSO. I specialize in op reports, work for 3 companies, and am paid on my 20 years of experience, not just on my op not experience. Some are under the misconception that because we do op notes, we should be paid more. That is not true and I know MTSO's will pay you as an acute care MT - that is it. So, to answer your question, a good line rate for a gross line is $0.09 cpl no matter what you transcribe. If you can get more, go for it. Good luck!
