I basically quit doing MT work a couple of months ago and got a temporary job out of the house. I am making pretty good, $16 an hour, but the job will be ending in a month or so and am confused as what to do. I type almost 100 WPM and use text expanders, but I just could not seem to do much more than 1000-1200 lines a day. I really liked working at home and would prefer to go back to doing MT work. I know I was having trouble with staying focused and had a lot of interuptions, but I just am afraid if I go back to MT work I am going to go back to not even making $80 a day. For those of you who make decent money at MT working for a national how do you do it and are there really any MTs out there who are making around $30,000 a year without killing themselves working all the time? Thanks.
