does hitting the carriage return create a "character"? Is that a "white"? And if that's so why wouldn't people be hitting the carriage return all the time? Also, you sound pretty studied on this so, here's another question. Hope you don't mind. When there is a cover sheet done, what happens there? Are we paid for those characters? I can't see it yet if we are. One thing I noticed was when it was a longer report, the difference was way bigger than with the smaller reports. For example: MQ LINE COUNT................MY COUNT was 21......................................3 under (i.e. my count was 18) 26.......................................3 under 52......................................12 under 34........................................1 under 16.........................................3 under 35.........................................6 under (i.e. my count was 28) The MQ LINE COUNT is what I was paid by The "Difference in what I got" means my count was always lower than the MQ count, which I was assuming was accounted for in the cover page. But I could never figure out why the big variation in the counting for the cover page. And I guess I still don't. Do you mean the characters that make up the pt name, age, dates, all that are counted?
