Local can be lousy

I was fired from a small, local company/physicians group after only 20 days of work. The reasons: office politics and nepotism. The owner's secretary's daughter (who had no formal training as a transcriptionist) did the transcription before someone else hired me. After my hiring, "daughter" was no longer the transcriptionist and was left to sit in her office and play with Play Doh! "Mother" was angry about "daughter"'s boredom and started a controversy over a business-like/formal e-mail that I sent to a doctor introducing myself. "Mother" and her best friend from marketing department raised so much H**l over the e-mail that I was fired. Ridiculous. Larger companies may be the same, but I now have no regard for small companies.
