Further proof that MTs and editors are being devalued. Absolutely positively insulting and shameful. My sister-in-law asked me the other day how I got into this profession and said that she was thinking about looking into it for a job down the road (she is a police evidence technician...very CSI-like job). I warned her heavily that the career is not what it used to be. I hated to disuade anyone as it can be challenging and fascinating for us language and medicine nuts...but from a career standpoint, financial standpoint, and respect standpoint....uh, no. Not a good choice anymore.
