the majority of the posts on here are from "seasoned" MTs complaining that they are being offered 7 cpl. Also, your nonsense about letting people know that there are good companies out there is, well, out there. I mean that sounds a little arrogant.

You obviously must be new to not know what the "standard" is. Not saying that it doesn't vary, but why lead the MT astray? It is 65 characters, as we all know.

Furthermore, your remark about Aunt Tillie just burns my buns. I also do what I say I am going to do and take 180 minutes a day up to 270. I type PLENTY, but there are times when my kid is sick or I have the flu or whatever. Whether you work at home or you don't, you have days you can't do what is expected of you. Employers understand this and many of them have "paid time off" to accomodate such needs. Being that we work at home, I feel employers should be quite understanding of this. they do not have the overhead of paying for an office, electricity and in some instances computers, phones, faxes, etc. This is my home but also the other members of my family, and they cannot always be understanding or accomodating of the fact that I am working!!

Furthermore, when I was a "newbie" no one held my hand. I researched and researched and learned and never slept. What makes you think these other MTs starting out don't do the same? You owe the original poster an apology for being such a tart, you know that? geez.

oh, and one last note about your underhanded reference to clinic MTs - I do it ALL. I have typed OP reports and after a while they are mundane just like anything else. Clinic reports can be considerably more difficult than summaries or ER reports, so why be critical? We are all MTs, whether clinical, acute, etc. There is no need to be condescending.
